Wow! I’ve been getting a ton of comments lately on by old post about FHLB, and figured it was time to update it. You can check out the old post HERE
FHLB is a matching forgivable loan grant program. Basically, for every $1 you put in, FHLB will match with up to $10,000 if you put in $2,000. This money counts as your FHA required 3.5%!!! So….you can still get into a house for less than $2000 out of pocket. For real!

Income limits are increased as well, so for a 1 person household in the Baltimore Metro area, you can make up to a little more than $45,000 and qualify, a 4 person household can make up to about $64,000. In the DC metro area, income limits are approximately $10,000 higher, contact me to see if you qualify.

Are there still funds available? I completed the Credit Counseling interview and thought I had reserved my funds; however, as of today, I’ve been told that there are no funds available. Please clarify.
Me too, I was told that my funds for downpayment was reserved by as of today and closing on the 24th there are no funds available. Please anyone help!!!!!!!!! tmatthews35@comcast.net
I was also told that I was eligible for this grant but about a month ago the lender I had been working with told me it was no longer available
I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT FUNDS BECAME AVAILABLE TO ME DUE TO THE FACT SOMEONE ELSES CONTRACT FELL THROUGH SO IF YOUR LENDER HAVEN’T PUT YOU IN FOR THE WAITING LIST YOUR HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL JANUARY. IF SO, THAN YOU MAY STILL HAVE A CHANGE. GOOD LUCK
